How To Wire 2 Way Switches,
Two Way Switches are generally installed when a single light is to be operated from two different points.
This could be in a hall way or corridor,or at the top and bottom of stairs leading to the next floor.
This then allows the two way switch to operate the light from either point where the 2 way switch is installed.

Switches are wired and also the alternatives.














There are a number of ways a 2 Way Switch can be wired.


In this case of how to wire a 2 way switch,the supply for the two way switch is to the ceiling rose or light junction box. The changeover switch is another term used for a 2 way switch










Here we see the supply wirng for the 2 way switch is connected in to a junction box before being wired to the two way switches
